As those of you know who attended our NCSM Regional leadership conference in Baltimore last week, Phil Daro was one of the three lead writer for the Common Core States Standards in mathematics. You can click here for a pdf copy of Phil's luncheon powerpoint presentation on the CCSS at the NCSM conference last week.
To all of our leadership friends and Colleagues that attended the Baltimore Seminar:
On behalf of Diane Briars, Skip Fennell (with 2 L's) and Phil Daro, thank you for taking the time to attend our CCSS Seminar. It was a great day for all and the positive feedback we have received on the day was remarkable.
I have enclosed in this message a copy of the Morning Session Powerpoint - you can click here to receive the message.
As a reminder, I would encourage you to go to the achieve website at achieve.org for the latest information on the CCSS. You should also know that NCTM also has a portion of their website dedicated to the CCSS as well.

Good luck to you during the rest of the 2010-2011 school year. If you click here you will be able to access my powerpoint presentation on the "Six Secrets of Highly Effective Lesson Design". My thanks to all of the mathematics coaches in attendance for suggesting I frame this message into an article for school coaches as well. Will do!
